Organization Structure

Our objective is for the PFA to be run democratically by florists for florists. In the start up phase the PFA is being founded by Flower Shops Network Inc, but once we have a complete board the PFA will become a self governing independent foundation and board members will be formally appointed.

We understand that the best way to know what challenges a florist faces, it is to be a florist or previously ran a flower shop and know the challenges involved in running a successful flower business.

The positions we are in process of fulfilling are:
  • Chairperson – oversee the association and run board meetings and define strategy and vision of the association
  • Vice-Chair – to support the Chair in their duties
  • General Secretary – to ensure the association is run according to it’s statutes.
  • Communications Officer – to ensure that the messages and objectives of the association are properly communited to members, suppliers and stake holders.
  • Marketing Officer
  • Memberships Officer
  • Corporate Members Officer
